2017 Bargaining Survey

Click HERE for a survey for which non-economic article in the current contract you would like the bargaining team to reopen with management for next year. This survey is open to both OSEA and non-member employees in the classified bargaining unit.

We're also asking for some input on when is the best day of the week or day of the month to meet as a chapter next year.

2016-2017 Bargaining Update

Bargaining Update 2016-17

The unfair labor practice (ULP) hearing was held May 2 and 3, 2017.  Each side has presented their case and next steps are:

· The attorneys submit their final briefs (summary of the case) to the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) on June 23, 2017.

· The ALJ is not under a time restriction, but typically will submit their proposed final offer (judgment) within 90 days.

Regular Chapter Meeting 12-2-2016

At last night's regular chapter meeting, the following items were acted on by the membership:

Approval of the Tentative Agreement with District management that for any bargaining unit employee who announces their retirement before December 15, they will receive a 2.5% salary increase for July 1 - Dec 31, 2016 so that it may be calculated into their PERS retirement.

Approval of a 2016-2107 chapter budget.
